About 3 months ago I took a hard fall off a jump landing right on my upper back. The fall was from about 8-10ft up. I went into get xrays the next day that cam up negative for any breaks or fractures. I have seen 2 doctors saying it is a contunsion of the spine, but it shouldn't take more than 3 months to heal. I have had no tingling sensations in my extremeties.
One of the problems is that I continued lifting weights after the injury for a couple weeks, just not at a high level. I know this probably has increased the recovery time. Until about 2 weeks ago I have stopped all weight training, focusing on resting the back?
I guess my questions are: How much of an impact will the lifting of weights immediately after the injury have on my back? Has it destroyed my chances of a full recovery?
