BackZilla for Back Pain

The BackZilla Pain Community Will Help

Hi, I have been having this strange pain on the lower right hand side on my back . This has started more than year ago. Since then I have been through few examination through my GP. They have checked my kidneys realy properly with negative outcome. My GP said it is muscular pain and told me to learn how to live with pain. This pain usualy starts when I am walking and goes away if I sit or lie down. Also it is  more common when I am tired.
Does anybody have any sugestion what could it be or what could help?
I am fed up with this pain.

Hello! I am sorry to hear that you, too, are in pain. I have had pain in the right lower side of my back for about 4 years. On the best days it is dull and bearable, most days it is screaming. I do not have any pain radiating down my leg or into my buttocks. I am not sure if it is related, but I also have pain in both hips, and a popping in my left hip when I walk. I have been to several Dr.s, and have been dx with sciatica, ankylosing spondylitis, degenerative disc disease, and sacroiliac joint disease, just to name a few. I have been in a couple of car accidents, and I have been thrown off of a horse 8-9 times. One time when I was thrown, I was 10 years old, and I landed flat on my back, that is when my back problems started. I was a 10 year old kid-whose parents refused to take to a Dr., they just said, it's bruised, it will get better. I had to sit on a pillow for 5 weeks, and I had to sleep reclining because I couldn't lay down. Years later I went to my family Dr. for back pain and they did X-rays. When the results came in he called me and said, Shannon did you know that at some point it looks like you broke 3 vertebrae, he said that he could see the shadows on the X-rays where the fractures had healed. Anyway, I am sorry for droning on, I am just tired of living with pain. Twice when I have bent over or moved a certain way, I felt a "pop" in my right lower back, and was unable to move for over a week. I want to find out exactly what is wrong and how to fix it so I can get on with my life. If anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thank you. By the way, when I had the x-rays I found out that I also have scoliosis.
Have you looked into whether you need a hip replacement? The popping is a classic sign -- good luck!
